Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

The author guidelines are as follows:

  1. Title. Written centered by capital letters with maximum 14 words.
  2. Author name. Written in full, without title, accompanied by institutional affiliation with address, and e-mail address.
  3. Abstract. Written in Indonesian and English language between 200-250 words.
  4. The script writing systematics are as follows:
    • Title
    • Author name (without academic degree). Author’s name and affiliation address and e-mail.
    • Abstract. Written in two languages (English and Indonesian), between 200-250 words.
    • Keywords. Between 3-5 concepts that reflect the substance of the article.
    • Introduction
    • Research methodology
    • Result and discussion
    • Conclusion
  5. References (only contains referenced sources, minimum 20 sources choosen 80% from journals, and 20% from others. And as far as possible the last 10 years publication).
  6. The paper size used is A4, margin: top 3 cm, bottom 3 cm, left 3 cm, and right 3 cm.
  7. Articles should be written in Bahasa or English approximately 6.000-15.000 words including text, all tables and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication, spaced 1 paragraph/single line spacing, Palatino Linotype. Size 11.
  8. The citation. Using body notecitation style. Foot note is required if there is any additional explanation of some context or theory which does not written in the paragraph.
  9. Quoting verses of the Al-Qur’an and Hadith. The quoted verse includes an explanation of the verse in brackets, by mentioning the name of surah, the number of surah,and the number of verses, such as (Q.S. Al-Mu’min (40): 43). And Hadith citation mentions the name of the narrator (H.R. Al-Bukhari and Muslim) plus a reference to the printed version of the Hadith must be quoted from standard Hadith books (Kutub At-Tis’ah).
  10. References: References are listed in alphabetical continuity by APA style. Example:
    • Books. Example: Soekanto, Soerjono. (1986). Fundamentals of Sociology of Law.Jakarta: Rajawali Press.
    • Translated books. Example: Pound, Roscoe. (1963). Introduction to the Philosophy of Law: Book III,(Moh. Radjab, Penerjemah). Jakarta: Bharata.
    • Journals. Example: Suma, Muhamad Amin. (2012). Measuring the Justice of Islamic Inheritance Law through the Text and Context Approach of Al-Nusus. Ahkam: Jurnal Ilmu Syariah, Vol. XII, No. 2.
    • Articles as part of a book. Example: Juwana, Hikmahanto. (2012). Law Enforcement in the Study of Law and Development: Problems and Fundamentals for Indonesian Solutions, in Muahammad Tahir Azhary, Some Aspects of Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Islamic Law. Jakarta: Kencana Prenada Media Group.
    • Articles from the internet. Example: Kharlie, Ahmad Tholabi. (2012, March). Juridical Problems of the Sharia Bill” in http://ahmadtholabi.wordpress.com/2008/03/03/problem-yuridis-ruu-syariah, downloaded.
    • Articles from magazines. Example: Portait of Customary Law in the Colonial Period” In Justice Forum, No. 17, August 20, 2006.
    • Papers in seminars. Example: Asshiddiqie, Jimly. (2004, March). The Position of the Constitutional Court in the Indonesian Constitutional Structure. Papers presented in a Public Lectured at the Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta.
    • Any article that does not comply with these author guidelines will be returned to the author for correction.
  11. The article has been submitted to the editor, at least three months before the time of publication by attaching softcopy sent directly via e-mail to: mecca@uika-bogor.ac.id

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

If this paper is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publications costs.

If you do not have funds to pay such fees, you will have an opportunity to waive each fee. We do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work.
